As a fourth generation TEXAN, Meg spent her formative years in Lubbock, Texas. She was in the first graduating class of undergraduates from the University of Texas at Dallas. While her children were young, she became very active in the community by serving on the board of directors of the North Texas Food Bank, the Dallas County Historical Foundation, the Dallas Welcoming Committee, the State Fair of Texas – Chairman’s Task Force, the UTD Alumni Executive Committee and the Dallas “40”. She is a graduate of Leadership Dallas, Leadership University Park and Leadership Baton Rouge. Meg served as Chair of the Dallas County Youth Services Board, the Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark Committee and the Texas Health Equipment Financing Council. She is a member of the Charter 100, the Leadership Dallas Alumni Association and the Dallas Friday Group.

Meg has two daughters, Paige Furr, a visual artist that teaches at the Greenhill School, and Dr. Liz Neveau, a veterinarian in Oregon. When not helping her clients she gardens, hikes, rides her bicycle and chases after her dog, Orla Jane.
