Kathryn Ernst first came to Big D by way of the Big Apple. The native New Yorker agent was well ahead of the current wave of transplants so she finds it a very exciting time to be on the other side, extending a warm Texas welcome to those who come behind her.
Kathryn graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with degrees in Merchandising and Marketing Communications, and her first job was at Condé Nast Traveler. From there, she says, she stumbled into a decade-long career in Finance. Her charismatic personality, zeal for service, organizational skills, and attention to detail steered her up the ladder to her capstone position as lead Executive Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer of a prominent Global Hedge Fund.
Kathryn's perseverance and a desire to reignite her creative design and marketing ambitions brought her full steam into real estate. She quickly fell in love with all that Dallas has to offer — culture, diverse theatre groups, world-class art, distinctive architecture and many unique and vibrant communities — and enjoys sharing her wealth of knowledge, derived from her unique perspective, with you. She believes that beauty lies within the details and meticulous craftsmanship of each and every home and is particularly attuned to excellent interior design.
Her background has given her an obvious knack for decorating, which is both an invaluable bonus for you and a passion for her. Kathryn enjoys morning exercise (HIIT & Running) classes, but most of her free time is spent with her husband, Joshua, and 9-month-old son, Arthur. She relishes in walks around the Arboretum, White Rock Lake and the Katy Trail, and loves to try new restaurants.
