As the world becomes smaller, the necessity of different backgrounds and perspectives in residential real estate grows greater. Agents like Monica Maldonado are increasingly proving invaluable for the experiences they bring to the table. The Monterrey, Mexico, native is not only bilingual English/Spanish, but her prior career as a project manager had her overseeing operations and project implementation in seven countries across Europe. Her degree is in Industrial and Systems Engineering so count on her to troubleshoot and problem solve well.
Before she transitioned into sales, Monica began by immersing herself in the investor side of real estate, buying single family homes. She educated herself in multifamily investing as well. These steps helped cement her passion for helping others find home. She loves that this profession allows her to build relationships and effectively guide clients through one of their most important life decisions.
Monica will offer not only fresh eyes and bold ideas, but understanding and empathy, as she has moved many times herself. She has been a resident of Vickery Place in the M Streets for nearly a decade, where she lives with her husband and three kids. Her network extends to the Park Cities, Preston Hollow and Lakewood as well.
While in Mexico, she co-founded a non-profit organization to help low-income children. She and her husband also support a foundation in Mexico that enables young children to complete their basic education.
