The Biggest ‘Dallas’ Episode Ever?

Millions of viewers will tune in tonight to “Dallas” to pay tribute to the man who became one of the city’s most-recognizable symbols. Larry Hagman starred in an astonishing 356 episodes with the original primetime version of “Dallas” – and that doesn’t even count the follow-up television movies or the recent TNT sequel series. Hagman’s portrayal of the scheming oil patriarch J.R. Ewing is considered one of the all-time great television performances.

Rumor has it that tonight’s full episode will eulogize the character of J.R. Ewing and the lasting legacy of Larry Hagman after the talented actor’s untimely death this past November. The episode, set to air at 8 p.m. on TNT, will likely feature appearances from other Dallas stars both past and present.

Just this past Tuesday, another Dallas star, the First Lady of Real Estate, Ebby Halliday, celebrated her 102nd birthday at the legendary Southfork Ranch, home of the Ewing clan. And, many of you will remember that the Dave Perry-Miller & Associates-listed contemporary residence at 4130 Cochran Chapel Road in beautiful Bluffview recently played host to the cast of “Dallas.” You can learn more about this exceptional property on Pages 10-11, as well as Page 75, of the brand-new spring 2013 issue of Grand Vie: Luxury in Living magazine.

Grand Vie features the luxury listings of The Ebby Halliday Companies, which includes Ebby Halliday, REALTORS® and Dave Perry-Miller & Associates. The magazine is direct-mailed to almost 30,000 luxury homes across the Dallas-Fort Worth area three times a year. It’s the only in-house luxury-home magazine in North Texas with extensive distribution and, more importantly, an established reputation for featuring the most luxurious homes currently for sale. In addition to many of North Texas’ finest listings, the spring 2012 edition features second homes associated with The Ebby Halliday Companies’ luxury marketing partner, Luxury Portfolio International, in tropical locales around the world.

We hope you’ll take time to enjoy the newest Grand Vie – but please don’t forget to stock up on tissues before you tune in tonight to say goodbye to the iconic J.R. Ewing.
