University Park officials may soon forbid limousines and luxury buses from parking on the city’s streets for extended periods of time.
At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, City Manager Robbie Corder said his staff has fielded a few complaints about limos being parked overnight on residential streets. So the staff proposed adding limos and tour buses to a city ordinance that already prohibits leaving mobile homes, motor homes, and boat trailers unattended “other than for the immediate loading or unloading of such vehicle.” Violators of said ordinance are subject to a $200 fine.
The City Council voted to send the proposed changes to the city’s Public Safety Committee for further study.
