No matter where you turn in Dallas, you’ll see the newly constructed homes that are revitalizing and changing the city’s landscape.
Satiate your curiosity of these new builds by attending the Dallas Builders Association’s 2018 Parade of Homes, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday. The event, sponsored partly by Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate, showcases five luxury custom homes scattered throughout Bluffview and Lakewood.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Finally Home, a national nonprofit that aims to provide custom, mortgage-free homes to American military veterans and widows of the fallen.
The self-guided tour features contemporary and modern homes built by Prospect Homes, Thomas Development and Construction, Alexander Hunt Distinct Homes, Classic Urban Homes and Richard Miller Custom Homes. Tickets are $25 for ages 12 and older.
Completed in 2016, 8401 Linwood was transformed from an undeveloped piece of triangular land into a contemporary marvel. Prospect Homes’ design is based off of an old-fashioned dogtrot, or breezeway, home most popular in Southern states during the 19th and early 20th centuries. As the name suggests, a breezeway separates the main home from guest quarters, ensuring exceptional privacy in both parts of the home.
The five-bedroom, four-bath home is offered at $1,547,000.
