These Homes May Distract You During The Park Cities Fourth of July Parade

The Park Cities Fourth of July Parade is one of Dallas’ greatest Independence Day traditions. Residents of the Park Cities and surrounding neighborhoods will come together on Saturday morning to watch people representing various businesses, schools, and community groups march from Town Hall in Highland Park to City Hall in University Park. As they traverse that 2-mile route, they will pass many homes marketed by Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agents.

There are two top-of-the-line estates in the parade’s staging area, starting with 3700 Euclid Avenue. This well-appointed home was completed in 2012 and showcases 13,980 square feet of clean-lined open space with an aura of tranquility and refined elegance. Kelly Hosch and Shelly Bailey are offering the six-bedroom home at $14,900,000.

4700 St. Johns

At the other end of the same block is 4700 St. Johns Drive. This grand estate occupies 1.1 acres in the heart of Highland Park. The 11,594-square-foot home was custom built with unsurpassed attention to detail, featuring finishes the most discerning buyer will appreciate. The Gullutto+Barnes Group is offering the six-bedroom showplace at $15,985,000.

4327 Potomac

The parade will wind its way to Preston Road via Lakeside and Beverly drives. Not far from where it will pass between Highland Park Village and Dallas Country Club sits 4327 Potomac Avenue. This four-bedroom home with many updates is complemented by an apartment above the detached garage. Charles Carneal is offering the property at $1,299,000.

6315 Westchester

Nearly half of the parade’s route is along Preston Road. Just a stone’s throw from where the floats will turn on to University Boulevard is 6315 Westchester Drive. This wonderful Mediterranean home has been expanded and updated but retains its original charm and proportions. Sally Jillson is offering the four-bedroom property at $2,395,000.

3629 McFarlin

The parade ends at Goar Park, where Dave Perry-Miller agents will distribute thousands of cups of lemonade, free of charge. We have a variety of listings near the park, including 3929 McFarlin Boulevard, a three-bedroom duplex where a bathroom and bedroom have been added this year. Shelly Hammer and Brian Kern are offering the property at $799,000.

At the end of the same block is 3648 McFarlin Boulevard, a country French traditional home that occupies a corner lot across from Dallas Country Club. The 4,723-square-foot home features an open living/dining concept and exquisite designer finishes throughout. Laura Michelle is offering the four-bedroom property at $2,095,000.

Finally, just a block north of Goar Park, you’ll find 6810 Turtle Creek Boulevard, a classic Mediterranean estate built in 2005. Designed by Paul Turney and built by Cy Barcus, it sits on an approximately 0.9-acre lot on Turtle Creek with gorgeous landscaping and a lush lawn. Stewart Lee is offering the six-bedroom estate at $13,500,000.
