Todd and Debbie Salmans

 

The Salmans were no strangers to homeownership, but they were ready to downsize their investments — the couple owned a ranch outside of Dallas and a downtown condo they wanted to sell.

 

They worked with three associates to sell the ranch and condo and then purchase a home in the city. Working with those agents, the Salmans said, was the most satisfying experience they’ve had in real estate.

 

“In a general sense, each was willing and capable when it came to representing our interests and negotiating with both buyers and sellers.”

Ellie Turner

 

As a young professional, Ellie Turner was ready to make a big investment in purchasing her first home after renting for two years. She wanted to stay in her Oak Cliff neighborhood and found her agent after visiting an open house.

 

For Turner, her Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agent stood out for her ability to go above and beyond the task at hand, which included including Turner’s parents in her home-buying experience.

 

“(During closing), she made sure (my dad) was with us — by holding the phone while he watched via FaceTime. My whole family was able to be there, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.”

Clay and Susan Phillips

 

The Phillips were residing in Lakewood when they decided to relocate to the Park Cities for its schools and a shorter commute to work.

 

Selling their home had its bumps: After accepting one offer, the buyer terminated on the last day of the option period. Dejected, the Phillips sought their agent’s help not only restaging their home but keeping them optimistic through the disappointment.

 

“We ended up having three offers in one weekend,” the Phillips said. “We were having second and third showings and offers, without lowering the price significantly.”

 

Kelly Yount

 

After her son graduated from Highland Park High School, Kelly Yount was ready to move to another area. She worked with an agent to sell her University Park home and find her dream house.

 

Yount said her agent remained calm under high pressure and helped her sell her home for an agreeable price.

 

“More than anything, she’s become my friend for life,” Yount said of her agent.

 

Julie Festervan and Ashley Hoffman

 

Mother/daughter duo Julie Festervan and Ashley Hoffman chose another mother-daughter team to ensure the purchase of their homes. After living in a condo, Festervan desired more greenery and a yard again. Hoffman was moving from Nashville as a newlywed and ready to purchase her first home with her husband.

 

They were able to purchase their homes within a month or two of each other. Festervan and Hoffman said their agents were personable and had excellent negotiating skills for the purchase of their homes.

 

“We would use them again!” The mother/daughter duo said. “They are people of character: kind and honest with a lot of knowledge about the market.”
