When you work in an industry of smart, confident, self-motivated independent contractors, it would be easy – understandable even — for genuine camaraderie to be… well, lacking. At Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate, however, that’s just not the case. And we have photographic evidence to support this claim.
Take, for example, the recent week-night chili party that was attended by just about every agent in the Preston Center office. The evening was hosted by the office’s Advisory Board – Gayl Braymer, Karen Fry, Dawn Rejebian, Chad Schulin, and Gene Taylor — and held at Karen’s Preston Hollow home.
The Advisory Board comprises five Associates elected by their fellow office-mates (2-year term) to attend monthly meetings with Dave and company management, and help shape the path and success of the Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate brand. These ambassadors for the company offer support to fellow Associates, and serve as a voice of opinion in all aspects of the company’s operations. All five of the Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate offices have their own Advisory Boards, and each one by design helps foster a culture of collaboration and encouragement among associates.
“It’s a pleasure to work with this leadership group,” says Gaynelle Henger, Office Manager of the Preston Center location. “They bring fun, professional perspectives and vision to our office community.”

As always, the delicious lemonade was supplied by Top Shelf Beverage. But we put a new spin on the event this year by also giving away 500 flying discs branded with our logo. (Be sure to catch one as they fly through your neighborhood.) Meanwhile, at the other end of Goar Park, The Rhodes Group conducted dozens of watermelon-eating contests.

Gene Taylor is the newest agent in our Preston Center Office.
Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate’s strength in Dallas’ luxury market has been boosted by the addition of industry veteran Gene Taylor.
During his 30-year career, Taylor has done it all. He has been in full-time sales as a top producer, but he has also managed, trained, and developed other agents. He is extremely well-connected and has always lived by his father’s motto: “You can never know too many people.”
With a degree in accounting from Texas Tech University, Taylor has brought his ease with numbers to the business of real estate. Earning his residential sales license in 1985 and his broker’s license in 1988, he has been immersed in Texas real estate ever since.
Taylor’s passion for his career and community is surpassed only by his unwavering devotion to his family. He takes great pride and joy in his three children and two grandsons.
Respected for his success and loved for his genuine warmth and friendliness, Taylor exemplifies the core values of a Texas gentleman and real estate executive.
“We are so pleased to add Gene Taylor to our roster of agents for life,” Dave Perry-Miller said.
