Firm Celebrates 2016 Top Producers

There is no better venue to host a gathering of Dallas’ most elite, service-oriented real estate agents than Dallas’ most elite, service-oriented hotel. The Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate 2016 Top Producers Award Luncheon was held on Friday, February 18, at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas in Uptown. Sales managers, agents and support staff from all five area offices convened in the Cypress Ballroom — along with senior executives from Ebby Halliday Real Estate, Inc., and a handful of valued vendors — to toast with mimosas and dine on Teen Romaine Salad, Moroccan-spiced Grilled Chicken Breast with Sauteed Kale and Quinoa, and Citrus Twist Cheesecake.

After lunch, Ebby CFO Ron Burgert kicked off the awards portion of the event with a recap of 2016. The firm did $2.1 billion in sales volume, he announced. He also reiterated the strength of and bright future for the brand. Ebby CEO Mary Frances Burleson also congratulated agents on another remarkable year, and hinted of the presentation to come by retelling a personal Ritz-Carlton memory that has stayed with her for 15+ years.

Agent Sharon Quist, herself a homeowner at The Ritz-Carlton, introduced the highly anticipated guest speaker, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas General Manager Roberto van Geenen.  Mr. van Geenen entitled his talk “Memorable Customer Service” and highlighted the high standards this luxury hotel brand has in place to keep guests satisfied and loyal. He acknowledged many parallels in the way The Ritz-Carlton staff treats guests and the way Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agents treat clients, and left his audience freshly inspired by his industry-leading insights.

Agents on Hand To Celebrate MetroTex’s 100th Anniversary

Established in 1917, MetroTex Association of REALTORS represents the entire North Texas region as the area’s largest REALTOR association. It is the second largest Association of REALTORS in Texas, and fourth in the country! They offer programs to advance agent development, lobby for both consumers and REALTORS in Austin, promote diversity within the field and more.

For their centennial anniversary this year, MetroTex is celebrating with tree planting events across DFW to show their “deep roots.” The kickoff was held January 21, 2017, at Moore Park in Dallas. Fifteen Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agents were on hand for the event. Many of these agents from across the firm’s five Dallas offices (Highland Park, InTown, Lakewood, Park Cities and Preston Center) are serving/have served fellow real estate professionals — and ultimately the buyers and sellers who rely on them — in various leadership capacities with MetroTex.

From left to right: Robb Puckett, Sales Manager Highland Park Office; Rob Elmore; Susan Gates; Frances Jacobs; Ronda Needham; Steve Habgood, Past President; James Martin, Current President; Steve Killingback; Eloise Martin, Past President; Matt Wilkerson; James Farias; Alicia Schroeder; Shannon Foster; Tommy Hill; Becky Connatser, Director.

Martin, Current President; Steve Killingback; Eloise Martin, Past President; Matt Wilkerson; James Farias; Alicia Schroeder; Shannon Foster; Tommy Hill; Becky Connatser, Past President Appointee.

To drive home the organization’s ongoing commitment to the community after 100 years of helping people find homes across North Texas, MetroTex will be planting 20 new trees in four locations and then handing out more than 100 trees at each event to the public. Not only do these events demonstrate the organization’s history in and gratitude for Dallas, they help bring greenery and cleaner air to the parks and greenspaces we all love and enjoy.

We appreciate their involvement and dedication to serving other REALTORS and ultimately all of North Texas in this way!

Firm fills 11 leadership positions for MetroTex

In North Texas alone, there are 18,000 people involved in all aspects of the real estate industry. Since that’s a pretty sizeable bunch, odds are you know at least one of them, right? Especially with the crazy-strong housing market we’ve had the last few years. “For Sale” signs are everywhere, and hundreds of new agents have gotten their licenses.

Like any reputable industry, these local real estate professionals look to a unifying umbrella organization to help them maintain and further their careers and interests. MetroTex Association of REALTORS® is this organization. They offer programs to advance agent development, lobby for both consumers and REALTORS in Austin, promote diversity within the field and more. Established in 1917, MetroTex represents the entire North Texas region as the area’s largest REALTOR association. It is the second largest Association of REALTORS in Texas, and fourth in the country!

Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate — both the brokerage and the individual agents who comprise it — not only benefits from the work MetroTex does, they contribute to it in many significant ways. This year, several agents across the five Dallas offices (Highland Park, InTown, Lakewood, Park Cities and Preston Center) are serving fellow real estate professionals — and ultimately the buyers and sellers who rely on them — in various leadership capacities.

As President, James Martin has this to say about 2017:

“MetroTex is poised for an exceptional year — incidentally our Centennial — where anything is possible. We’re committed to our cities, members and clients, and with that in mind, we have many events planned. We are launching a four-part New Professionals Entrepreneur Breakfast Series geared toward professional development. We will also be holding five tree-planting community service events throughout the year, with the first to take place next month in South Dallas. Our goal is also to give away 100 trees, free to the communities we serve. Those are just a few examples.

MetroTex has a long tradition of success, and we will use this solid foundation to build a greater tomorrow. Of course, building a greater tomorrow starts today!”

Congratulations to all for making a difference in North Texas real estate!

Firm Surpasses $1 Billion Mark in First Two Quarters of 2016 for Fifth Year in a Row

This may be the fifth year to reach the same momentous milestone, but that doesn’t mean this tremendous accomplishment ever gets old! In fact, agents at Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate have come to regard it as a good reason to get together and celebrate with one another — something these busy independent contractors don’t get to do often.

Celebrate they did at the Dallas Country Club late Wednesday afternoon. Ebby Haliday CFO Ron Burgert shared phenomenal, uplifting numbers with the group, and thanked everyone for their contributions to the firm’s consistent success. Based on data pulled from MLS, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate is currently the number one brokerage in Dallas in Homes Sold (Volume), Homes Sold (Units) and Market Share for the combined areas 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 25. (Because non-MLS data is not available publicly, making overall competitive comparisons isn’t possible.)

Statistics based on MLS Data from 1.1.16 to 6.30.16 covering Areas 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 25. Does not include non-MLS, hip-pocket sales.

Then he turned the microphone over to corporate comedian Dean Lewis, who engaged with his audience throughout the 20-minute set.  Lewis, who has appeared on Last Comic Standing Season 5, written for Jay Leno and won the Wendy’s Clean Comedy Challenge, put hilarious twists on topics close to every REALTOR’s heart, such as staging homes, selling in the suburbs and taking calls 24/7. He even poked a little fun at the competition, which was not lost on anyone there.

All in all, was a very festive way to finish out a Hump Day!

Our friends at the Advocate have published their inaugural list of the Top 25 Realtors in Oak Cliff, and no broker has more agents on the list than Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate. Our honorees, presented in alphabetical order:

• Brian Davis
• Ged Dipprey
• Hewitt & Habgood Group
• Hickman+Weber Group
• Robb Puckett
• Clayton Tompkins
• Dori Warner

The Top 25 list was based on sales statistics reported to the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems, a service of the MetroTex Association of Realtors. Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate Agents Contribute to Kessler Krawl’s Success

Kessler Krawl
There were plenty of smiling faces at last year’s Kessler Krawl. (Photo courtesy of Kessler Neighbors United)

The finest homes for sale in Kessler Park are marketed by Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agents, so it’s only natural that our firm would have a hand — several hands, actually — in the neighborhood’s signature fundraiser, the Kessler Krawl.

During the annual cocktail party, four or five neighbors open their homes and serve drinks and hors d’oeuvres from Oak Cliff restaurants. The ticket-purchasing “guests” are divided into groups of 30 to 50 who then move from home to home. At the end of the evening, dessert and coffee are served at a final location, giving everyone a chance to be together.

The Kessler Krawl benefits the ongoing efforts of Kessler Neighbors United to create community and to maintain the beauty and safety of our neighborhood.

This year’s Kessler Krawl is scheduled for March 28, and our own Patty Brooks, Anne Foster, and Robb Puckett (Kessler Neighbors United’s president) are on the planning committee. Meanwhile, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate is a presenting sponsor of the event, and Brooks is sponsoring one of the featured homes, as are the Hewitt & Habgood Realty Group and the Hickman+Weber Group.

Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased by clicking here.
