Firm Celebrates 2016 Top Producers

There is no better venue to host a gathering of Dallas’ most elite, service-oriented real estate agents than Dallas’ most elite, service-oriented hotel. The Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate 2016 Top Producers Award Luncheon was held on Friday, February 18, at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas in Uptown. Sales managers, agents and support staff from all five area offices convened in the Cypress Ballroom — along with senior executives from Ebby Halliday Real Estate, Inc., and a handful of valued vendors — to toast with mimosas and dine on Teen Romaine Salad, Moroccan-spiced Grilled Chicken Breast with Sauteed Kale and Quinoa, and Citrus Twist Cheesecake.

After lunch, Ebby CFO Ron Burgert kicked off the awards portion of the event with a recap of 2016. The firm did $2.1 billion in sales volume, he announced. He also reiterated the strength of and bright future for the brand. Ebby CEO Mary Frances Burleson also congratulated agents on another remarkable year, and hinted of the presentation to come by retelling a personal Ritz-Carlton memory that has stayed with her for 15+ years.

Agent Sharon Quist, herself a homeowner at The Ritz-Carlton, introduced the highly anticipated guest speaker, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas General Manager Roberto van Geenen.  Mr. van Geenen entitled his talk “Memorable Customer Service” and highlighted the high standards this luxury hotel brand has in place to keep guests satisfied and loyal. He acknowledged many parallels in the way The Ritz-Carlton staff treats guests and the way Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agents treat clients, and left his audience freshly inspired by his industry-leading insights.

Quist reigns Ritz-Carlton with Record Sale

In real estate circles, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agent Sharon Quist is known as “Queen of the Ritz.” With excellent reason. It all started in 2004, when she became the 5th person to reserve a unit at The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas (pre-completion), then sold another 13 units by move-in day in 2008. She has more than 140 Ritz transactions under her stylish belt today, and is the all-time leader in sales there.

Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate Agent Sharon Quist leads her peers in sales volume at both the The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas and in Area 17 (Downtown, Uptown, Oak Lawn/Turtle Creek)

As of last week, Sharon has further cemented her legendary status. A recent company announcement lauded her sale of the Ritz-Carlton Penthouse. She and Kathy H. Myers were the Listing Agents, and Sharon was on the other side of the table, too, bringing the buyer.  The 5,666 square foot full-floor unit was listed at $7,500,000. It sold for the highest price per square foot of any condo or high rise ever sold in Dallas MLS.

Of her own high-rise experiences, Quist reflects, “The camaraderie, convenience, walkability and seamless lifestyle has made me an urban living devotee. I want others to know this for themselves. That’s why this job is perfect for me!”

Sharon has been #1 in MLS sales volume for condos and high rises in all of Dallas and in Area 17 (includes Downtown, Uptown and Oak Lawn/Turtle Creek) for three years running now: 2014, 2015 and 2016 YTD. From January of this year to the end of September, she has sold almost $24 million, accounting for 3% of total market share by herself. Her contributions have also boosted Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate’s market share by volume in Area 17 to almost 21% — that’s double the share of either of the firm’s closest competitors.

Icing on the cake: since the company announcement was made last week, Sharon has closed a $1,800,000 unit and listed another for $4.1 million. It’s good to be queen!

Nothing Compares to Museum-Quality Penthouse at Ritz-Carlton Residences

ritz_penthouse_1

Imagine the most incredible condominium, built to the owner’s exacting standards, exhibiting impeccable taste and sparing no expense in design, finishes, decoration, and equipment. Imagine five-star hotel services and amenities — including in-room dining, valet, concierge, a pet park, a fitness center, and a full-service spa — in one of Dallas’ premiere high-rises.

Imagine no more. Everything you just read is true of the four-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath, 5,666-square-foot penthouse that occupies the entire 22nd floor of The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton. The aforementioned square footage doesn’t include the 2,481 square feet of outdoor living space on three balconies, which overlook Downtown, Victory Park, and Uptown. Kathy Myers and Sharon Quist are marketing this unique property for $9 million.

“A lot of Realtors talk about how their listings are ‘museum quality,’ but this unit is a cut above the rest,” Myers said.

Those museum qualities begin with the walls and 12-foot ceilings, most of which are hand-crafted marble plaster. The flooring is predominately quarter-sawn white oak and Breccia Imperiale granite. The lighting throughout the penthouse is designed to showcase the stunning and intricate architectural details.

The unit’s artfulness is matched only by its technical sophistication. The television in the master bedroom is built into a cabinet; it rises at the touch of a button and swivels toward the bed or the sitting area. In each of the master closets — 102 square feet for him, 252 square feet for her — the upper cabinets feature motorized doors. As you would expect, the lights, window coverings, and audio-visual equipment are all integrated into a state-of-the-art automated Crestron/Lutron system.

Every detail of the home’s design was carefully considered. The centerpiece of the living room is the book-matched walnut burl fireplace wall, with Breccia Imperiale granite hearth and mantle and a Jura Grey marble surround. The kitchen cabinets and island were custom ordered from Poggenpohl. The study’s walls and ceiling were fashioned from figured Mozambique panels with teak accents. And the his-and-hers master bathrooms are finished with Giallo Antico marble counters, limestone floors and showers, and Porcelanosa tile walls, featuring a beautiful mosaic of aqua marine, quartz, moonstone, and tiger’s eye.

“I’ve seen many beautiful homes at the Ritz-Carlton,” said Quist, who is a Ritz resident and has been involved in more than 100 transaction sides at the luxury high-rise. “None of them compare to this.”
